User Guide

Fold the cup using one of the following methods:

Labia Fold

This technique helps the menstrual cup pop open easily. Place a finger on the top rim of the cup. Press it down into the center of the inside base to form a triangle. This makes the top rim much smaller to insert.

7-Fold

This technique involves folding the unit in the shape of the number 7.
Flatten the cup by pressing it in the center. Fold down one of the corners to the center of the unit to form a 7.

Push Down Fold

This technique helps the menstrual cup pop open easily. Push the rim down until it reaches the cup base. Do this with your index finger so that it folds inwards.
Press the sides of the cup together to reduce the size of the cup.

Insertion

  • Boil the menstrual cup in a pot of water for 10-15 minutes before using it for the first time. Wash your hands with mild unscented soap before handling your cup.
  • Get into a comfortable position that will help you spread your legs, either while standing up, sitting on the toilet or squatting.
  • Moisten the rim of the cup to help it slide better. Separate the labia gently to help with the process. Then holding the folded unit with your thumb and forefinger, gently insert it into the vagina while directing it towards the tailbone. To unfold the cup, slowly turn it to complete one rotation.

Removal

  • When it comes to removing the cup, don’t forget to wash your hands with soap!
  • Get into a comfortable position and allow your vaginal muscles to push the unit downwards.
  • Steadily reach for the stem of the unit and pull it gently until you can feel the base of the cup. Lightly squeeze the base to release the suction.
  • Pull the unit out slowly and empty its content into the toilet or sink.

Cleaning

  • Empty the contents into the toilet or sink. Wash the cup thoroughly with warm water and scent-free soap before reusing. Boil it in a pot of water for 10-15 minutes at the end of each menstrual cycle.

Cleaning A Stained Cup

  • Pour 3% hydrogen peroxide into a container and completely immerse the cup. Soak overnight.
